1. Who these terms are between
FinanceWithoutFluff (financewithoutfluff.com, the "site") is owned and operated by Kaivora LLC, a U.S. limited liability company. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, the fix is simple: don't use the site.
2. General information, not advice
Everything on this site — every calculator, article, glossary entry, and tool — is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or lending advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to take (or avoid) any financial action. We are not licensed financial advisors, brokers, lenders, accountants, or attorneys. Before making decisions that matter — buying a home, refinancing, retirement choices — verify the numbers with a qualified professional who can see your full situation.
3. Accuracy, and its limits
We work hard to get the math right: calculators disclose their formulas and assumptions, and articles link primary sources. But estimates are estimates. Calculators simplify (their pages say exactly how), rates and rules change, and errors are possible despite care. The site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability. If you find an error, please tell us; we fix and note corrections.
4. Your decisions are yours
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaivora LLC and anyone involved in making this site will not be liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its content. That includes financial decisions made using the calculators. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
5. Your data
Tools like the budget planner and net worth tracker store data only in your own browser (localStorage) — it never reaches us, and we can't recover it for you if it's lost or cleared. Back up anything you care about with the export buttons. How we handle the little data we do touch is covered in the privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
Don't attempt to disrupt the site, misrepresent its content as your own, or republish substantial portions of it without permission. Quoting with a link is welcome. The site's content, design, and code are the property of Kaivora LLC unless otherwise noted.
7. External links
Articles link to outside resources (government agencies, reference sites) because citing sources beats asking for trust. Those sites have their own terms and policies, and we're not responsible for their content.
8. Changes
These terms may change as the site evolves — for example, if advertising is introduced. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the U.S. state in which Kaivora LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
